Install Mega Storage in Kali Linux Rolling Edition
Detailed guide to install Mega Storage in Kali Linux Rolling Edition
Mega Storage is a great service.
Kali linux is a hardened OS.
Installing Mega Storage in Kali Rolling Edition is quite tricky and it took me hours because Mega don’t provide precompiled package for this distro.
In the download page, instead of “Debian 8” choice, please choose “Debian 9” to get the right package for you. Why?
It just because megasync-Debian_8.0_amd64.deb package use libcrypto++9 but Kali Rolling Edition use a newer version, libcrypto++9v5. To avoid package conflicts, you should get megasync-Debian_9.0_amd64.deb. It use libcrypto++6 instead and this old version doesn’t conflict in the Kali’s repos.
Enjoy Mega!
